After that long day through Death Valley we crashed at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, a pretty awesome venue. Paul and I quickly discovered that Casino’s are not really our thing.

But first on the agenda for the day was driving Trophy Trucks around the Vore Short Course ( Vegas Off Road Experience ). These trucks we’re amazing. 40inch tyres, 20inches of travel and every ounch of fun we were hoping for.

Paul nominated me to go first which was fine ( it was awesome! ). Run through the safety briefing, jump in the trucks and out we went. We think we ended up getting a lot more laps than we should have which was awesome. The trucks are very hard to get used to, very wollowy, and you need to use the brakes to get them to kick round the corners not the gas. Left foot braking was encouraged  and was really needed with these things.

And here is a 30 second clip:

The track was amazingly well kept, considering how cut up it was after we had a turn round it 30 odd times.

After than the day could not get any better. Although I did feel pretty sick from the 43ºC heat in the trucks as a driver and a passenger. Paul chalks up me feeling sick to his loose driving/amazing skills.

From here we went back into town, and walked the strip in 44ºC heat. What a shit idea. The strip is really not as good as what people have hyped it up to be. The outsides of the casinos are incredible but the insides are just the same old slot machine filled smoky smelling places, go to one you have gone to them all. In saying that heres a few photos of the walk around.

After feeling like we had seen enough, we jumped on the Monorail, A) to go for a ride and B) to get into aircon.

We ended up ending the night by going to the RIO and seeing the Penn and Teller magic show. I remember seeing these guys when I was a kid on TV and had to see them while we were in vegas. The show was awesome, very funny and very clever. Well worth it.
