Was a good night with amazing food. The traditional meal was Norwegian Lamb ribs cooked/steamed over berch wood in a pot, together with potatoes and other bits a pieces.

Sadly the next day was not so good. Turns out my crappy stomach cannot handle the richness and saltyness of the Norwegian lamb and I was sick most of the night and next day. At least I wasn’t the only one, Jonas mentioned he got sick the same way. Christmas day spent watching tv and relaxing.

So day 58 (Friday) was spent doing another big family dinner this time at a different house. But during the day Anders’ drove up to  the family cabin up the road to take Jacob for a ride on his new sled. But it had dropped to -15 so we couldn’t stay out for long.

Another night of great food and company in which this time I didn’t get sick! They also had an awesome piano in the corner from the 30’s.

Almost everyone at the table seemed to be a fan of NZ which was great, and they even brought out the special napkins for me.
