Combining days seems to be a lot easier when it comes to updating this blog so i’ll stick with it.

Third day in Frankfurt, Lukas and I decide to head off to the Natural History Museum. Has alot of specimens ranging from animal collections to Dino fossils. Instantly realised that most of the signs are in German which was an interesting experiment to see if I could figure out what it was.

They had a replica of Lucy in the Human evolution area.

A bunch of mammals including a massive American Bison.

Some of them were massive. The Alaskan Moose was huge.

Then a bunch of Dinos. I told Lukas about the movie Jurassic Park and the fact that most of the feature dinos in it were from the Cretaceous period not Jurassic. Gave us a bit of a laugh looking at all the signs.

A glimpse of the Hauptbahnhof, the Main train station.

That night we went to a little pub and met up with a couple of Lukas’ friends. They even changed to english for the rest of the night which was nice! The waitress even over heard me and changed to english which was strange. The standard beer size is 0.5Ltr which makes it hard to keep up with the locals.

Next day

We did not do very much other than go for a walk and get some local food. Lukas said I need to try proper German Apfelwein (apple cider) and some local food. Lukas was translating everything until the waitress answered back in English to me. I love this city!

So the Order was Apfelwein, Handkäs (hand cheese) and Bratwurst with Apfelwein sauce. Very good food.

Right above us was the old apple press. Pretty impressive, we were trying to figure out if it was Ox driven or motor.
