So its been a while since I had internet/useful internet so I will be doing a few updates today.
Second to last day in Lhasa we spent travelling out to Ganden Monastery, one of the 3 biggest in Tibet. Located at 4300m above sea level it was the first test of my lungs to work at altitude.
The drive was a pretty fun one in a bus, the roads seem to be designed for WRC cars, Paul Lyons would love it.
After walking around for a while and checking everything out we set off for a walk upto a hill that took us to 4800m, the highest yet.
As per usual we couldn’t have a day where we weren’t eating something yak based, today was the pre-packed yak sandwich. And the dogs knew we had it too.
The hill top gave magnificent views. And this where we started the victory Snickers Bar tradition.
Day 10 – Last day in Lhasa
Our last day was a free day which we spent wandering around looking at shops, getting supplies for the next day and people watching. We may have also had midday beers.
